Distinguished Alumni Award Ceremony

Arthur Seabury, Jr., Smith-Cotton Class of 1975, will be presented with the Distinguished Alumni Award in the Heckart Performing Arts Center at Smith-Cotton High School. The ceremony has traditionally been open to the public and attended by the senior class. Further details regarding the time of the award ceremony will be posted to the Sedalia School District Foundation--Official Facebook page and updated on this website closer to the event.


The Homecoming parade, organized by the Smith-Cotton High School Student Council, will be held on Friday afternoon through downtown Sedalia. Smith-Cotton High School classes celebrating a reunion this year are welcome to participate in this annual tradition. Please contact the Sedalia School District Foundation office at schfound@sedaliasdf.org or 660-829-2562 to reserve a spot in the parade.


The Foundation hosts a FREE tailgate party in the high school gym from 5 to 7 p.m. Alumni, students, parents, and community members are welcome. Donations accepted. Smith-Cotton Tiger Pride Marching Band performs at 6 p.m.


The Smith-Cotton Football Tigers take the field at 7 p.m. in Tiger Stadium.


Events on Saturday include a pancake breakfast, Future Alumni performances, and open house from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Smith-Cotton Junior High. Pancake and sausage breakfast tickets are available at the door for $5 each.


Tours of Smith-Cotton High School are held on Saturday from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
