Smith-Cotton Homecoming Weekend

3 p.m. Smith-Cotton Homecoming Parade, downtown Sedalia.

Class reunions who are interested in riding in parade should contact the Foundation office at 660-829-2562 or Smith-Cotton High School Student Council sponsor at 660-851-5300 by September 30, 2022.

5 to 7 p.m. Sedalia School District Foundation tailgate party, Smith-Cotton High School gym.

The Foundation invites alumni, friends, students and their families for hotdog, chips, and lemonade. The tailgate is free but donations are welcome.

7 p.m. Smith-Cotton Tigers football, Tiger Stadium.

Tigers host the Capital City Cavaliers.

Saturday, October 8, 2022

7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Pancake breakfast and performances by future alumni, Smith-Cotton Junior High cafeteria.

Purchase tickets at the door or by calling the Foundation office.

7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Open House, Smith-Cotton Junior High

Alumni and reunion groups can wander the halls and reminisce at the original Smith-Cotton High School, now the Junior High.

9 to 11 a.m. Tours of the Smith-Cotton High School campus.
Local historical landmark open for tours during Homecoming weekend

Noon to 2 p.m. Tours of the Heard Memorial Club House, 200 W Broadway in downtown Sedalia. Docents will be on hand to guide visitors through the well-maintained historical landmark to see the stained glass, parquet floors, beautiful fireplaces, grand staircase, and more. There is no cost, but freewill donations will be accepted at the door. Sponsored by members of Helen G. Steele Music Club.
